How It Started

Tracking.TV was started because we found finding, sharing, and keeping track of videos from sites like YouTube to be frustrating. BlogLines and Google Reader seemed to be a great way to keep track of lots of blogs, so why not apply some of those same ideas to videos? The simplest way to use Tracking.TV is just to use it to watch videos found by others. If you have a particular interest you can easily get "channels" created using "tags" from YouTube and other video hosting services. We've created a bunch of those for you, but you can add anything you like.

If you want to create your own "channel" you can: just create a channel and start saving the videos you like to it. You can create as many channels as you want for your different interests. You can then share these channels with your friends and family and they can add them to their channel lineup. Then, whenever you find a video gem, you can share it with them easily.

In the future, we'll be adding a recommendation system to show you other videos like the ones you have already seen.
